The Big Land Fair will host a variety of local musicians including:
Liz Forsey performing at 10:00 am
One of our youngest musicians this year, Liz will perform with her keyboard and voice.
Hannah Kennedy and Pam Duffett at 10:30
Introducing these two young performers (students at Mealy Mountain Collegiate) who will play guitar and sing. We think this is their first paid 'gig'.
Jacinda Beals Band performing at 11:00 am
Jacinda Beals With a voice like velvet, her music has been described as "funky folk with rock and roll attitude" and her lyrics are heartfelt and poetic, often telling of the people and places she loves. Her song 'Labrador to the Core' has become somewhat of a local anthem. Check out Jacinda at

Richard Neville performing at 12:00noon
Singer/songwriter. Genre: Folk music. Richard Neville Writes and performs songs of his homeland- Labrador. Inspired by the culture and history , Richard touchs on topics through his songs that reflect the Innu,Metis', Inuit and settler way of life in this remote and magical part of the country.He is also an accomplished guitarist who has accompanied Labrador's Harry Martin over the years and has also joined him on his award winning recordings. Richard has performed from one side of Canada to the other and also performed his songs of Labrador as far away as Antarctica. For a period of over 4 years, he was a part of the Halifax folk music scene, where he performed as solo act and also played in several bands in the area but now has returned to his home- Labrador. Richard has performed on TV and Radio many times over the years and has been a featured act over the years at such festivals like Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival and Trails, Tales and Tunes. Richard is currently working towards his first recording of all original material.
Gary and Jennifer Mitchell - performing at 1:00pm
Gary and Jennifer Mitchell, father and daughter, perform traditional Labrador music on guitar and accordian. Jennifer is studying in Goose Bay this year, and will perform at the Fair this year - "It's a tradition, and I wouldn't miss it," she says! Be sure to purchase a copy of their CD.

Donna Roberts - performing at 2:00pm
Donna released her debut album "Isolation Highway" in May 2006 which includes 11 of her own songs and the Dan Fogelberg hit "Leader of the Band". Produced and recorded by Clyde Wiseman at Conception Recording Studios, "Isolation Highway" features a wide variety of songs from the whimsical "Carefree Days" to the inspiring "I Believe In Me". Donna's music has been described as country/pop with a contemporary feel and her lyrics and voice are powerful and captivating.

The Flummies - performing at 3:00pm
This two time East Coast Music Award winning aboriginal band is always a crowd pleaser. The band includes Leander Baikie, Alton Best, Sim Asivak, Richard Dyson and Tunker Campbell. Their new CD will be available for you to purchase at the Fair.
